French automobile manufacturer Renault has collaborated with the France Televisions for the launch of the francetvinfo in-car application.

The application will be launched, under the contract signed in 2012, in Renault's integrated and connected multimedia tablet, Renault R-Link.

Francetvinfo system was developed by teams at France Televisions and Renault, has the text to speech function that enables users to read the news while the vehicle is stationary or listen to a news story or section.

The company will supply the system as standard equipment on ZOE and New Clio Renault Sport, while it will be offered as an optional for New Clio, New Clio Estate, Captur and New Kangoo.

According to the automobile manufacturer, francetvinfo complies with the public broadcasting mission and values of France Televisions.

Services offered by the francetvinfo application includes local news, international news, business, sport, feature stories, Buzz+ and news from the 24 regions covered by the France 3 television channel.
